Discussion with a reliable source at Sunnyvale Middle School (SMS) revealed that words came from up top, all the way from our Sunnyvale School District (SSD) Supertintendent office and the big man himself, Dr Benjamin H. Picard, to give the AT&T Cell Phone Tower Proposal a low profile.

Students were told it is a Communications Center. Parents were not told through the school's PTA blast email. No record of the proposal existed in the school's newsletter in October, November and December 2010.

Unless you attended the first neighborhood information meeting, you would never know about the second one. A second notification was not sent out to anyone.
